A Mantra for Embracing the Present Moment

❝In this meditation, we'll use a mantra to cultivate mindfulness, inner peace, and a deep acceptance of the present moment, just as it is.❞
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position, whether it's sitting, lying down, or even standing. If it feels right for you, gently close your eyes. Take a deep breath with me, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. As you exhale, allow your jaw to soften, your shoulders to relax, and your hands and belly to release any tension they may be holding.
With each breath out, feel your body settling into a state of deeper relaxation. Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm, and if you'd like, place one hand on your belly to feel the gentle rise and fall of each inhale and exhale.
In this meditation, we'll be working with the mantra, "This moment, just as it is." Begin by bringing your attention to your breath, or if you prefer, focus on the sensations in your body or the sounds around you. Choose whatever anchor feels most comfortable for you in this moment.
As you continue to focus on your chosen anchor, your mind may begin to wander. When you notice this happening, gently redirect your attention back to your anchor, and silently repeat to yourself, "This moment, just as it is." This mantra serves as an invitation to fully embrace and accept the present moment, without judgment or resistance.
You don't need to repeat the mantra continuously. Instead, use it as a gentle reminder whenever you notice your mind drifting away from the present. Whether you're experiencing comfort, discomfort, or even perceived distractions, simply acknowledge what's happening and remind yourself, "This moment, just as it is."
Continue this practice for a few more minutes, anchoring yourself in the present moment and using the mantra to cultivate a deep sense of acceptance and inner peace. (Pause for 2-3 minutes)
As we prepare to end this meditation, take one final deep breath, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. When you're ready, gently open your eyes.
Remember, you can carry this mantra with you throughout your day, especially during challenging moments. By reminding yourself, "This moment, just as it is," you'll be better equipped to navigate life's ups and downs with greater mindfulness, resilience, and inner peace.
