Let's take a moment to find a comfortable position, whether that's sitting, standing, or lying down. Allow your eyes to gently close, if that feels right for you.
Take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling your lungs expand. And then, exhale slowly through your mouth, letting go of any tension you might be holding. Feel your jaw soften, your shoulders relax, and your hands and belly ease into a state of gentle rest.
As your body settles into this moment, notice your breath. Feel the subtle rise and fall of your belly with each inhale and exhale. Just observing, without trying to change anything.
Now, I invite you to bring to mind a positive experience. It could be a cherished memory, a recent accomplishment, or a moment of connection with someone you care about. Allow the details of this experience to come into focus.
As you hold this experience in your awareness, notice any shifts in your emotional state. Perhaps you feel a sense of warmth, joy, or contentment. Whatever emotions arise, allow yourself to fully feel them. Let them wash over you, like a gentle wave.
Instead of brushing these positive feelings aside, as we so often do, take this opportunity to really savor them. Imagine you're absorbing these good sensations, letting them permeate every cell of your being. With each breath, feel yourself taking in more of this positivity, allowing it to nourish and sustain you.
Take a moment to appreciate the goodness of this experience, and acknowledge your capacity to embrace and enjoy the positive moments in your life.
Let's take one more deep breath together. Inhale through your nose, and exhale through your mouth. When you're ready, gently open your eyes.
As you move through your day, see if you can bring this practice of savoring the good with you. When you notice something positive, no matter how small, take a moment to really feel it, to let it sink in. By doing this, you're gradually training your brain to recognize and appreciate the many blessings in your life.
