Welcome, my friend. Let us embark on a journey of relaxation together, guided by the wisdom of the ever-flowing river. As we begin, find a comfortable position, either seated or lying down, allowing your body to be supported by the surface beneath you.

Now, let your eyes gently close, and take a deep, cleansing breath. Inhale through your nose, feeling the air fill your lungs, and then exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension you may be holding. With each breath, imagine yourself drawing closer to the banks of a serene river.

As you arrive at the river's edge, take a moment to observe the water's steady flow. Notice how it moves effortlessly, navigating around rocks and obstacles, always finding its way. Allow this image of the river to guide your own journey towards relaxation.

Begin by bringing your awareness to your toes. Imagine the river's soothing waters gently lapping at your feet, carrying away any tension or discomfort. As the water recedes, feel your toes becoming heavy and relaxed, sinking into the ground beneath you.

Now, let this sensation of relaxation flow upwards, like the river's current, into your ankles and calves. Feel the muscles here releasing, becoming soft and pliant. The river's tranquil waters continue their journey, moving into your knees, thighs, and hips, inviting every cell to let go and unwind.

As the river flows through your torso, imagine it carrying away any worries or stresses you may be holding in your belly or chest. With each breath, feel your body becoming more and more relaxed, just like the smooth pebbles that line the riverbed.

The river's soothing current now reaches your fingers, hands, and wrists. Feel it gently washing over these areas, dissolving any tension and leaving behind a sense of deep peace and ease. Allow this relaxation to flow into your arms, elbows, and shoulders, feeling them become heavy and soft, like the river's mossy banks.

Finally, imagine the river's calming waters reaching your neck and face. Feel it gently caressing your jaw, your cheeks, your forehead, and the space between your eyebrows. As it flows over the crown of your head, feel your entire being becoming one with the river's peaceful rhythm.
