Calming Ocean Breath

Begin by finding a comfortable seated position, allowing your body to settle and relax. Gently close your eyes, if that feels appropriate for you, and bring your awareness to the natural flow of your breath moving in and out of your body.

Now, imagine yourself sitting peacefully on a beautiful beach, the vast ocean stretching out before you. Notice the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore, the rhythm steady and soothing. Begin to synchronize your breath with this calming rhythm.

As you inhale, imagine the wave gently rolling in towards the shore. Feel your lungs filling with fresh, cleansing air, just as the wave swells and rises. Pause for a moment at the top of the inhale, as the wave reaches its peak.

Then, as you exhale, imagine the wave receding back into the ocean, gently flowing back from the shore. Feel your lungs emptying, releasing any tension or stress, as the wave smoothly withdraws. Pause for a moment at the end of the exhale, as the wave settles back into the ocean.

Continue this pattern, inhaling as the wave flows in, pausing, then exhaling as the wave recedes back into the ocean. If your mind wanders, gently guide it back to the image of the ocean and the rhythm of your breath.

With each breath, feel yourself sinking deeper into a state of relaxation, your body and mind calmed by the soothing rhythm of the ocean. Inhaling peace and tranquility, exhaling stress and tension.

When you're ready, gently release the visualization and allow your breath to return to its natural pattern. Take a moment to notice how you feel - perhaps more centered, more relaxed, and more at peace.

Gently open your eyes and carry this sense of calm and connection with you as you continue on with your day.
