Welcome to this guided meditation focused on calming your mind and finding inner peace through mindfulness techniques. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious, this practice is here to support you, just as I understand how you might be feeling.

To begin, find a comfortable seated position, whether it's sitting cross-legged on the floor or in a chair. Close your eyes if you wish, and let's start by taking a deep breath together. Inhale slowly through your nose, and exhale gently through your mouth, feeling your body begin to relax.

As you settle into this moment, bring your awareness to your face. Notice any tension in your jaw, forehead, cheeks, and mouth. Allow these muscles to soften and relax. Release any tightness in your shoulders, belly, and hands. Let your hands rest gently on your lap as you continue to breathe deeply.

We will explore two mindfulness techniques today to help calm your mind and find peace within yourself. The first technique is called box breathing. This method involves breathing in, holding your breath, exhaling, and then holding your breath again, all for a count of four seconds each.

Let's practice together. Inhale slowly for one, two, three, four. Hold your breath for four, three, two, one. Exhale gently for one, two, three, four. Hold for four, three, two, one. Repeat this box breathing technique a few more times, allowing your breath to guide you back to a place of calm.

Next, we will explore a technique called take five. Open your eyes if you like and extend your right hand in front of you, as if you're holding a plate. Use your right pointer finger to trace each finger of your left hand, starting from the base of the hand and moving up each finger as you inhale and down as you exhale.

Trace your thumb while breathing in, then back down as you exhale. Continue with each finger, breathing in as you move up and out as you move down. This simple exercise is incredibly soothing and grounding.
