❝A guided meditation to find joy and presence in the ephemeral nature of existence.❞
Welcome, dear friends. Let us take a moment to settle into this space, into this present moment. Find a comfortable position, whether seated or lying down. Allow your body to relax, letting go of any tension or holding. Close your eyes if it feels right.
Take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling the air fill your lungs, your belly expanding. Exhale slowly through your mouth, letting go of any worries or thoughts that might be lingering. With each breath, feel yourself arriving more fully in this moment.
As we rest here, I invite you to bring to mind a joyful experience, a moment where you felt truly alive and connected. It could be a cherished memory, a recent encounter, or a simple pleasure. Allow the details of this experience to come into focus - the sights, the sounds, the sensations.
Notice how your body responds to this memory. Perhaps there's a warmth in your chest, a smile playing at your lips, or a sense of lightness throughout your being. Instead of brushing past these feelings, I encourage you to stay with them, to savor them.
Breathe into these sensations, allowing them to expand and permeate every cell of your body. Let yourself be filled with this joy, this aliveness. You are not clinging to this experience, but rather appreciating it fully, knowing that like all things, it is fleeting.
In this mindful savoring, we begin to understand the true nature of existence - that each moment is a gift, a unique and unrepeatable offering. By embracing the ephemeral quality of life, we free ourselves from the weight of expectation and regret. We learn to dance with the ever-changing rhythm of being.
As you continue to breathe, feel the preciousness of this moment, of this life. Allow gratitude to well up within you - gratitude for the joys, the sorrows, the entirety of your experience. Everything is a part of your unique journey.
Slowly now, begin to deepen your breath, feeling your awareness return to the physical space around you. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you're ready, gently open your eyes.
Carry this practice with you as you move through your day. When you notice a moment of joy or beauty, pause and take it in fully. Savor it, knowing that it, like all things, will pass. In this way, we train our minds to be present, to appreciate, and to find the lightness in being.
Thank you for sharing this practice with me. Until we meet again, may you embrace the beauty and impermanence of each moment. Namaste.
